Zhang Daoling, the Patriarch of the Zhengyi Sect of Longhu Mountain

Zhang Daoling, the Patriarch of the Zhengyi Sect of Longhu Mountain
This amulet-style pendant is handcrafted by Taoist artisans. The titanium steel enamel case is carved from an alloy and coated with durable enamel to ensure its color remains luminous over time (note: the color may oxidize naturally).
Obverse: Depicts the orthodox Taoist deity "Zhang Daoling Tianshi." Zhang Daoling was the first generation Tianshi of the Zhengyi Sect of Longhu Mountain, and is therefore revered as the Patriarch Tianshi in Taoism. The position of Tianshi is inherited through a hereditary system. After the Patriarch Tianshi passed away, his son Zhang Heng succeeded him, known as the Successor Tianshi. After Zhang Heng's death, his son Zhang Lu succeeded him, becoming the Successor Tianshi. His fourth-generation grandson, Zhang Sheng, returned to Longhu Mountain in Yingtan, Jiangxi Province. His descendants, often referred to as the generation of Tianshi, have passed down the legacy, collectively known as Zhang Tianshi.
- Spiritual Significance: An orthodox Taoist deity, "Zhang Daoling, the Patriarch of Heavenly Masters" is revered as the founder of Taoism, the progenitor of the Zhengyi Dao, the chief of the Four Heavenly Masters, and a close official of the Jade Emperor's Tongming Palace. He is revered by the public as a "great deity to exorcise evil spirits," and statues of him are worshipped to protect homes, making him the embodiment of the Dao in Taoist culture.
